Dr Sudha Kankarias
impact on Save the Girl child movement is far reaching 2500 plus Grampanchayats
participated in Gramsabha resolutions favoring girl children. Almost 5000
couples took the 8th marriage vow to welcome girl children. Now a
days it common to take 8th vow in marriages in Maharashtra. Even in lockdown
period online 8th vow was taken by bride and bridegroom. Abolishing
the custom of naming girlchildren Nakoshi meaning unwanted. The
Brain behind renaming of 283 Nakoshi girls in Satara is of Dr Sudha.
Grampanchyat Dhandarphal Sangmner took
resolution of Nakoshi free Grampanchyat.
Dr
Sudha has created many new concepts and they are getting implemented by health
education sector and society at large.
ANC tracking is online by health sector. PHC are displaying sex
ratio board.
There is positive change in mind set of youngsters about no dowry
and welcome girl child. Mind set of society is changing positively and sex
ratio is also improving.
Key of mission is Creation Implementation and Promotion of
11Point Action Plan by addressing
more than 5 thousand workshops seminars public education awareness program in almost
every taluka of Maharashtra and some out of Maharashtra.
Ujedache Mankari
Ujedache Mankari Sanman is
the landmark programme organised by Dr Sudha to felicitated the coordinators,
coworkers in this 35 years period of save girl child mission. (1985 to 2020).
This mission’s work is appreciated and blessed by Hon. Dr. Shantabai Kotecha
(Freedom Fighter, Ex MLA), Hon. Padmshri Anna Hazare, Hon. Padmshri Dr Raman
Gangakhedkar, Hon. Padmbhushan Dr K H Sancheti, Hon. Umakant Dangat (Ex
Collector Ahmednagar), Hon. Dr Pallikaris (University of Crete Greece), Hon.
Bhaskargiri Maharaj.
Ujedache Mankari Sanman given to Deputy Director of Health
Services, Collectors, Civil Surgeons, DHO’s, Doctors, IMA, NGO, Registrar of
Universities, Press Media, Social Workers & spiritual personalities
and representative of Beneficial’s also.
This programme is presided by Hon. Collector of Ahmednagar Dr
Rajendra Bhosale, Chief Guest Ex Minister Hon Subhashji Deshmukh, Hon Padmshri
Popatraoji Pawar, Hon. Padmshri Rahibai Popere.
This programme started with lamp lighting.At last Dr Sudha
Kankaria is honoured with Civil Honour Life Time Achievement Award by Hon
Collector Dr Rajendra Bhosale.
